Ann McFerran was a Thai-born painter with a UCLA psychobiology degree and zero beauty industry connections. Frustrated with messy glue-on falsies, she spent months developing the world's first 6-magnet lash, then launched Glamnetic in August 2019 with $5,000 in savings, shipping every order from her Koreatown LA apartment.
